The first round ran long. When the team leader suggested going for a second round, I honestly wanted to go home, but I went along because of the atmosphere. Someone suggested Kaijeo Hof, saying it was an old hof in Yeouido, so we just went in.

I got the vibe as soon as we walked in. It wasn't one of those trendy vibe pubs or craft beer bars—this was a genuine, long-standing beer pub with wooden interiors and a crowd of middle-aged men: a Yeouido office-worker hof. It felt like the neighborhood hof I used to go to holding my father's hand when I was a kid. Worn but comfortable in a strange way.

We took a seat and ordered draft beer first. 500ml was 5,000 won, which is acceptable considering Yeouido prices. The beer was better than I expected. The foam ratio and temperature were fine, and maybe it tasted better because it was after the first round. For snacks we ordered peanuts and squid; the peanuts were nicely roasted and fine, and the squid was tasty. The owner even mentioned that the price of squid had gone up a lot—his frankness felt endearing.

Snack prices are around 10,000–20,000 won, reasonable by Yeouido standards. But anyone used to university-area hof prices might be a little surprised. Still, the portions weren't tiny, and the snack quality didn't feel like it dropped off sharply.

One inconvenient thing was that there is no restroom inside the shop. You have to go out and use the building's restroom, which is a bit of a hassle when you're drinking. Going out and coming back while drunk was awkward. It's probably because the place is so cramped, but it's a shame.

Maybe because of the location, it fills up quickly even on weekday evenings. When we sat down there were a few empty seats, but in less than an hour it was almost full. I think there's a reason it has survived so long in Yeouido.

Overall, it's a solid choice for a second-round spot. It's not the kind of place you go to expecting anything special—it's perfect for finishing up with one more beer after the first round. It might not suit people who care about atmosphere or interior, but on a day you want to drink comfortably without fuss, places like this are better.
