Recently, I was looking for a simple snack and decided to try one of Changyeok Tteok's popular items. The packaging was neat and each piece was individually wrapped, so it was easy to store and convenient to take out one at a time.

What I liked most was that, even though it's a frozen rice cake, the texture was quite good. If you thaw it naturally or heat it slightly in the microwave, the outside becomes chewy while the inside turns soft, and because it's individually wrapped it's hygienic—perfect as a snack when you're peckish, as a quick breakfast substitute, or with coffee.

Being able to keep it in the freezer for a long time is a major advantage, but due to the nature of rice cake, if you thaw it for too long it can get a bit tough, so it's best to heat it appropriately before eating. Overall I'm very satisfied, would recommend it as a gift to others, and plan to repurchase.
