Izakaya franchise bar Yakitori Janjan! I checked out the Magok Balsan branch!

The main dish was Nagasaki Jjampong (₩25,000).
For sides, I ordered skewers: chicken thigh (₩7,500), whole chicken wing (₩7,000), and tsukune (₩7,000).

The Nagasaki Jjampong had a very rich, tasty broth and was perfect as anju with soju, but one downside was that, despite being jjamppong, there were very few noodles, and the more I ate it the slightly greasier it got. The skewers were all pretty good overall. However, I remember Yakitori Janjan's chicken thigh skewers being really delicious before, so I tried them again after a long time — they tasted a bit different; it wasn't the “wow, so good!” feeling anymore, just an ordinary skewer, which was a little disappointing... time takes its toll, sigh :(

The interior is quite spacious, but the table spacing isn't that wide, so the tables feel a bit close together. There aren't many group seats, so I recommend going as a group of four (when groups of 5–6 come in they often leave because there are no seats). The staff were reasonably friendly.

Overall, it's a good spot to stop by for a quick drink :)
