Samonim Jjamppong is always mentioned whenever people talk about the best jjamppong in Gangseo!

I visited on a weekday lunchtime and was lucky to get a table right away, but the people who came after us had to wait even though it wasn't that late, so you can tell how incredibly popular it is.

They have Baek Jjamppong (white-broth) and Hong Jjamppong (red-broth), both priced at ₩11,000. I went to cure a hangover and ordered the Hong Jjamppong — it was reasonably spicy and tasty, but… maybe because I expected a lot, it's good but not really worth lining up for?

I also ordered the yuzu tangsuyuk (₩22,000) and handmade fried dumplings (₩7,000). The tangsuyuk and dumplings actually felt more special and tasted even better than the jjamppong! They fry the batter really well 👍 Also, the place has a quirky rule: they only sell one bottle of alcohol per person, so keep that in mind when you visit! (Probably to keep table turnover smooth since there's always a wait.)

Overall, it's tasty but not something I'd queue for — it's the kind of place I'd go to occasionally when there are plenty of seats ^_^
