I was in Cheongju on a business trip again and, eating alone, wondered where to go. I noticed a meat restaurant called Yukjoseon offering yukhoe bibimbap as a lunch special. There weren’t many decent places nearby, so I was glad and went inside.

The interior was spacious and really cool, and since it was early lunchtime there weren’t many people. I immediately ordered the yukhoe bibimbap. The price was 13,000 won, which was fine—I have a corporate card, haha.

I had been debating whether to get something with soup, and when I ordered they served a well-arranged set of side dishes along with a bowl of doenjang jjigae. Thanks to that, I had a satisfying, hearty lunch. Everything, starting with the side dishes, was delicious, and it made me look forward to how good the meat will be. I recommend this place—it definitely seems like a great spot, haha.
